Doctor Details

Dr Al-Timimi is a general and colorectal surgeon and a certified endoscopist.

Dr Al-Timimi undertook his training through the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and obtained his FRACS in 2006.

Since then he has been working on the coast. In addition to his private practice, he holds a Senior Specialist position at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

His special interests are in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, management of colon cancer, quality assurance in colonoscopy and surgical education. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland (UQ) and is the Surgical Academic Supervisor at the Sunshine Coast Medical School. He was the inaugural recipient of UQ Distinction in Clinical Teaching award.
