In all its activities, the Breast Clinic seeks to work in close cooperation with medical practitioners involved in the care of those who attend. If requested by the referring doctor, the Breast Clinic will assist with referral for ongoing management.

The Breast Clinic offers:

  • Breast screening - through this program, women will receive a breast assessment which involves a mammogram and possibly a clinical examination as well. Women without a history of breast cancer are recommended to get a check up at least every two years.
  • Diagnostic services - female or male patients who have a breast symptom such as a lump, a change in the appearance of the breast or nipple discharge should visit their doctor first to get a referral for the Breast Clinic.

The Breast Clinic will also facilitate referrals to MRI services and breast surgeons, and complete pre-operative localisation services (if surgery is required).
