GENERAL MANAGER - Wallis Westbrook
Wallis Westbrook commenced as General Manager of the Sunshine Coast Private Hospital in June 2014. He comes to position with significant health industry, leadership and senior management experience.
His previous roles include managing a complex state-wide health and community services industry association, Queensland and national industry workforce planning roles and board and strategic governance experience. Wallis is well respected for his communication and collaboration skills and leading organisational change and growth. Wallis is committed to building a service oriented and positive workplace culture, and to achieving high quality outcomes for patients and the community.
DIRECTOR OF SUPPORT SERVICES - Adriana Leonardi
Adriana commenced her career in health at the age of 17 as a trainee nurse working with Queensland Health and spent twelve months working with Northern Territory Public Health at the public hospital and an Aboriginal mission 50km from Alice Springs.
She began working with the Uniting Church 30 years ago as a nurse at St Stephen’s Private Hospital in Maryborough. After progressing to the position of Marketing Manager and Patient Services Manager,
Adriana was approached to take on the additional position of Marketing and Patient Services Manager here at Buderim. Until mid-2003 she held the dual responsibilities as Marketing and Patient Services Manager for both the Sunshine Coast and Maryborough hospitals.
In 2004 she was appointed to the position of Director of Support Services and now has management responsibilities for all support services within The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital, including maintenance, housekeeping, catering, administration, reception, supply and business development. Adriana is also responsible for marketing the hospital and its services to external and internal customers, and project management of the hospital’s building redevelopment. Since 2000 more than $60 million has been spent refurbishing, redeveloping and extending the hospital.
DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES - Rae Priaulx
Rae Priaulx proudly leads an exceptional Clinical Services team passionate for providing outstanding patient care in a holistic, caring environment.
Rae was first employed at The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital as a casual Registered Nurse in 2000, and has worked in a variety of roles across the hospital including Assistant Director of Nursing, Clinical Nurse Manager, Hospital Coordinator, Quality and Staff Development. She has been Director of Nursing /Clinical Services since 2008. Other leadership roles include General Manager/Director of Nursing (Acting) for St Stephen's Hospital in Hervey Bay during 2015, and four years as the UnitingCare Health Medical Forms Standardisation Project Coordinator.
Rae was one of Queensland’s final hospital-trained Registered Nurses, graduating in 1992. She has since obtained her Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Certificates in both Leadership and Management and Clinical Management. Her clinical background includes emergency nursing, medical, oncology and coronary care. She has a very strong interest in workforce planning/development, and clinical education and is passionate about patient safety, quality improvement and innovation. Rae is also currently researching the history of the Buderim Private Hospital as The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital was formerly known.
